On Monday, 4th April at 7.30am, the Preliminary Extension English class invited their parents to a breakfast where they showcased their writing talents by reading an extract from their tandem stories. These stories were inspired by the popular culture text, Joel and Cat Set the Story Straight by Nick Earls and Rebecca Sparrow.

Shakespeare can be confusing and hard to grasp. The different language and style of writing can often make learning about his works boring and unenjoyable. This is where Bell Shakespeare steps in. Their performance shed light on the play and in between scenes they stopped and explained what was happening in the play at the time which helped us understand a lot more.
 
The energy and vibe that they had made their performance captivating and exciting.  Courtney Magann, Year 10

Last year we entered four teams in the Premier’s Debating Competition. This competition involves the students selecting a topic on arrival at a school and having one hour to prepare the topic which is decided with the toss of a coin. We entered one Year 12 team, two in the Year 9/10 competition and one in the Year 8 section.
